We are dedicated to providing you with the most current news from a Christian perspective. The news provided will pertain to anything from Bible Prophecy, to Pro-Life news. Please feel free to leave your comments. However, if your comments are offensive or inappropriate, they will not be posted.
We strive here at VOL news to inform you of all that is going on in the world, good and bad alike. When news is reported about someone doing something to harm another, (from Muslims to your average every day person), we would ask that instead of hating these people, (no matter how hideous the act), you pray for them. We know it can be difficult at times, but Jesus commands us to pray for our enemies. They are obviously under the influence of satanic bondage and need released. Remember, Satan comes to kill, to steal, and to destroy.
Furthermore, we may post articles from time to time that do not necessarily reflect the opinion or feelings of this website. We post as it pertains to current events. And, as an added extra, we are free of advertisements, especially those that do not glorify God’ (WordPress does post ads from time to time that are visible if you are not logged in–we have no control over that). We rely on God to promote us, not the world. This site, as well as all of the sites in my care, belong to God. We work solely for Him. Any of the promotions you see in the sidebar or footer are placed there to promote something we believe in. We receive no royalties or commissions.

Peter, could I add something to Greg’s response? He suggested that you read Matthew 24, and I agree. Probably, the best place to start in understanding the Second Coming is to read what Jesus said about it. Then, when you feel that you understand what He said, you can move on to other passages with His words to guide you (for example, the first and second letters to the Thessalonians).
I pray you’ll see that warning people that Jesus WILL return, and that He MUST judge, will help you know that to remind others about this is the right and loving thing to do.
God bless you!

AMEN!
I’m reading some of your efforts on end of world. I cannot actually believe that the End of the World is here and/or even close. I try to live my life based on a Spiritual sense of promotion and goodwill through trying to abide by the principles contained within the Saint Francis prayer. After work on the environment and construction my entire life I have a tendency to be respectful for nature and it’s delicate balance. My belief in God and His Holy Son are Unequivocally stronger now than at any time in my life, however, I just cannot subscribe to the End of Days that many promote in an unhealthy and in my opinion unholy manipulative scare tactic to elicit others to believe in God. Do you believe it deserving to our Lord to practice Fear based attempt to coerce someone into Faith?
Please if you would be so kind enough, could you first answer the question and also please because I don’t have any sense of your efforts to manipulate through fear send me some research materials for study guide? I don’t expect you to expend your scarce resources available for this. All I need is reference points for starting an updated research.
I thank you in advance for any help you provide in my quest for an enlightened journey.
Sincerely

Hi Peter,
I am devoting some time to this as you requested because I feel this should be addressed.
First of all, while the prayer of Saint Francis is well stated and a good prayer it should by no means be your guide. Abiding by it’s principles is not a bad thing, but I want to point out that abiding in Christ would be better. The number one thing that guides you ought to be Jesus, Jesus lives to make intercession for you and me…for all of us. Maybe this is the case with you, I do not know.
Second, I can assure you there is no fear based theology, teaching, or sentiments here on Vine of Life. Fear has no place here, that is not what we are about. Lyn and myself started this site as a way to present the news to Believers, and as a way to present Biblically relevant End Times teaching.
Where you are seeing coercion is beyond me. We simply present the facts of what is happening, and insights from others and ourselves on occasion as to the End Times. Coercion implies threats, we are in no way doing that, we are teaching as the Lord has commanded us to do, and all His people to do in fact. We teach, present and speak of these things out of concern for others and love for them as well. Everything you see here on prophecy is Biblically based. There is nothing unholy, manipulative, or fear base about what we are doing here.
We firmly believe the end is not far off, no man can know when the exact time of the end is, however we can have an idea…and is it not our duty to warn others? I (and Lyn) do not want to stand before God someday and have to answer to Him for NOT warning others of the nearness of His coming! Time is short and people need to understand this so as to be ready for the Lord’s return.
I have to ask this, not as a judgment but as a simple question. How much do you read your Bible? How familiar are you with it? You asked for resources.
Bible texts for you to look at that back up what we teach…Daniel 9:24-27, Matthew 24, Revelation, Ezekiel 38, and 39.
Other people to look into, Chuck Missler, Perry Stone, John Shorey, Joel Richardson, Joel Rosenberg, Walid Shoebat, Jonathan Cahn, Stephan McCarroll, and Hal Lindsay. These are a few people. While there are differences of opinion among us on some things, there is one thing we all believe to our core…the return of Jesus Christ is not far off.
The Bible tells you what will happen BEFORE the return of Christ. Much of it is happening right now. We desire for people to be aware, not afraid. Our aim is to warn people and educate them of the nearness of Christ’s return. The fact that you do not perceive the end being near is exactly what Satan wants you and everyone else to think! If people think the end is not coming anytime soon, then they will not change their ways. Examples…I will just keep on sinning, there is time to change later, I can ask Christ into my heart some other day, I have plenty of time to get right with God. Matthew 24 and 25 warn against this style of thinking specifically! Jesus knew this would happen, that people would not believe the nearness of His coming and would not prepare accordingly.
Just for the sake of argument, lets say Jesus returns next week, are you ready? Is it not our duty as followers of Jesus to warn people that their time here on earth is short, and that they need to be ready to stand before Christ? All this is in the Bible, and we are all to preach the Word of God…this is NOT just the job of the Pastor! The people of God are expected to know God’s word, we are not to depend on the Pastor, Priest, or Minister to read it to us. This is right in the Bible…God told His people to meditate on His Word ALL day long.
I hope this answers your questions. You can contact us directly via the contact page, or you can contact me at; inspirationalchristianblogs@yahoo.com if you would like any help with questions.
God bless
Greg

I should also point out that because this IS a news site, we do post things we do not agree with. But on the nearness of the end, that we whole heartedly agree with.
You are correct that we need to remember to pray for our enemies, although they sometimes hurt people, because our Master and Teacher prayed for His enemies while they were in the process of hurting Him badly, asking the Father to forgive them. Stephen did the same thing! Surely we can.
Amen, Don. God bless you! And thanks so much for your comments and wisdom!
