“YE DO ALWAYS RESIST THE HOLY GHOST AS YOUR FATHERS DID SO DO YE.” (ACTS 7:51) The majority of the church world is in a state of dangerous neglect or outright rejection in their resistance to the Holy Ghost. Many Pentecostals have become so accustomed to the theology of the Spirit that their language is cheap and giddy. There can be no sovereign move to return our nation to a Biblical culture without the church waking up to the truth of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is Divine and the third member of the Godhead. He must be reverenced, and given the highest degree of awe and respect. Simply speaking, The Holy Ghost is God at the exact level of the Father and the Son. His person is unique because He is the Omnipresence of the Godhead. He manifests to the Father all that each one of us is and all we say and think, and all the Father and the Son are to us.
Even the unconverted are ever before the Heavenly Father, because the Holy Spirit is the breath they breathe. The Holy Spirit is the essence of life and even nature would instantly die if the Spirit should cease to exist in the world. No wonder the Bible says that, “The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.” (Psalms 94:11) Human words carry in each sound life and death because every spoken word is ever before the Spirit of Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence. Every expression of human life is recorded in the sound banks of eternity. You should tremble just to wake up in the morning and start another day without Him filling your every deed and thought.
Every act of sin is grief to the Holy Ghost. Every Sabbath day you defile by your careless conduct is recorded. Unclean language breaks the heart of God as the Holy Spirit writes it down for the Blood to cleanse or judgment to remember. In history where revival has suddenly occurred, sinners have become broken and unable to hold up their head for shame. It’s almost impossible to understand the total omnipresence of this awesome Defender of God’s Holiness. His primary office is the perfect oversight and preserver of the Father’s holiness in this earth.
At this moment, revival is tarrying because God is restraining His Spirit. Shortly, the Holy Ghost will be released for the ultimate accountability. It is almost too much to consider when every human act of defiance and rebellious will is suddenly called to question by God Himself. The Bible says many different things to the church world about our relationship to the Holy Spirit. His many offices in the world and the church is a picture of excellence. We cannot know God nor anything of His forgiveness except with this third member of the Trinity. Your effort to know and grasp spiritual things is non-existent unless you give vent to the Spirit.
Understanding these awesome traits should drive us to seek the Spirit’s sovereign hand upon our life. He wants a free reign to convict you of everything contrary to the Word. Jesus said that, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” (John 16:7-11)
There is no doubt that men are quick to resist the Holy Ghost because we are spiritually naked before His presence. Nothing is hidden from His view and He reveals it to you so you can ask the Lord for forgiveness. Many times the sinner runs when the presence of the Holy Ghost is revealed. A sin coddling church is an unwelcome place to the Holy Ghost. They do not want Him and He leaves them to their devices. A person or a church must be totally open to the infallible Scripture before the Spirit can linger to convict the sinner.
The holiness of the Holy Ghost is so profound that flesh must be broken to welcome Him. At Pentecost when the Holy Ghost was revealed without limits, it startled the unconverted multitude. The Holy Ghost gave us a small insight. “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” (Acts 2:37-41) This picture has been the same many times in church history.
Any action of turning from the Holy Ghost is a serious matter. Apostle Paul spoke to this fact in his letter to the Hebrew. He declared, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” (Hebrews 6: 1-6) That is plain language which much of today’s church utterly rejects.
This crowd has blasphemed Him by denying what they once enjoyed. Rejecting, denying or grieving the Spirit is the same as standing in His presence and saying, “Leave me alone, I have my own plans.” The Modern church has become what is called, “The Emergent Church.” The Holy Ghost is totally unwelcomed because He would run all the unholy crowd off. The music is so compromised that the sweet music of King David or, “There Is Power In The Blood” is not even in their song book. The Pentecostal church world has thousands of once Spirit-filled people that have settled for a song and a dance and no longer have the fellowship of the Holy Ghost. These are the foolish virgins that will soon be devastated after missing the Rapture, unless they repent.
The noted teacher and scholar, Augustine (A.D. 354-430), joined Chrysostom (quoted in an article on this subject) in sorrowing over the state of the church where the Holy Ghost was no longer present. He declared, “For who expects in these days that those on whom hands are laid that they may receive the Holy Spirit should forthwith begin to speak with tongues?” (Augustine, On Baptism, Against the Donatists, Section 3, Chapter 16, NPNF 443.) (HE IS A LOVED SCHOLAR BY BOTH CATHOLICS AND CALVINISTS BUT THEY MAY REJECT THIS STATEMENT HE MADE LONG AGO) The rejection of the Holy Ghost is a sad chapter for today’s church. It is one of the primary reasons that the lost are no longer crying out in repentance but simply getting religion and joining dead churches. Let’s study the Holy Bible on this subject until we change the tide and see a sovereign move from Heaven.

I like your site, Lyn. Keep up your good work and may God bless and keep you! Thanks for the follow and your interest in my one post.
You are welcome! You also have a blessed site! Go forth boldly and proclaim the good news. We, as true followers of Jesus Christ, are receiving much opposition by people, especially those who claim to be saved… but are caught in the false ‘love’ doctrine being taught…no accountability, sin is okay because Jesus understands, as long as you say you’re sorry..if you quote scripture and speak truth, you are judging someone… yeah, that doctrine! I’m sure you are familiar with it having a Christian blog.
So we need to support one another in prayer and pray against the attacks of the enemy, as things are getting much worse in this world as we prepare for the return of Jesus Christ. Please keep me in your prayers as I pray and lift you up. God bless you, and thanks for taking the time to come here, and to comment.
We not only fight against the ‘Love Doctrine,’ of which you mentioned, and; ‘Prince and Principalities;’ but as well, against political doctrine of “appeasement.’ Thank you for your kind words about my blog and yes, I know what is cast against us as christians. We are attacked, as you know, because “so-called Christians” dislike the fact that we bring God’s words of which convict their hearts.. I know that the Church of Laodicea, as referrenced in Revolations, was years past in Turkey; yet, I can not help to think an dbelieve, America is the modern day Laodicea. Having grown rich and given to idols (money, technology, etc). No longer needing a a true God, that of Israel, .but believing we ourselves are Gods. No wonder God is releasing His rather upon us as a nation. Homosexuality, Abortion and idolitry. We need a revival here in America. God bless you and your work also, Lyn. Have a blessed evening.
Amen. You couldn’t be more correct. People do not want to be convicted…a wicked scheme of the enemy..because if people are not convicted, they will not repent..and if they will not repent, they will not truly be saved and will go to Hell. And that is just where Satan wants people to go. God is sending out people like you and I, but they’re not listening. Thank God for the blessed people we have who do benefit from our ministry. I do feel sadness for those who reject the truth. Have you found that most of your opposition does not come from the lost, but from those who wear the Christian badge?
Yes, I do find that to be true. I also find that I am clallenged on an issue, when i correct them and state what is truth (from the Bible); I may never hear from them again. And, normally, it’s over the dumbest things. smiling.
Most people want to be in their comfort zone. Where they can live their lives professing to love God, but their actions do not support them. I recently placed a post on “Homosexuality: Sin or abomination?” A man wrote me, ever so polite, and brought forth several issues. i did not recant my position, though i too was amicable and polite in my response. Lyn, this thing went back and forth to where i thought i was in a tennis match (LOL). He stated to me… concerning the Old Testament: “well, should we still be stoning our children if they misbehave?” I responded that “It is not what goes into the mouth which defiles they body, but that which comes from the mouth which (convicts) defiles the body.” Imean, it was almost child like what we discussed from his side (if you get a chance, read the volley of conversation we shared).
So, yea, i get some of that alot. But it’s okay due to the fact that it makes me sharper – aware of what might be cast my way by Satan. I already know that the Victory is Won! it is up to the others, those not wanting to leave their carnal lives, to figure it out and turn (repent) from their ways. I realize too, alot of them are miserable in the way they live their lives. They strike out. it’s like a person who achieves a certain level, they believe at the next higher level they’ll truly find happiness. But, when arrival there they’re still not satisfied. God wants us to be happy, evenprosperous….but He knows, as we should, that only a life around Christ/God can we be truly happy, fulfilled and achieve that which satisfies. With God, even being broke is satisfying if God in truly leading us in our life.
Amen. And when you go through all sorts of torment and awful things in your life, you can still be happy because you can feel the comfort and calm of the Holy Spirit! Thank you for replying back to me and for putting so much thought into your comment. I appreciate it. It helps so much! God bless you.
Well, thank you, Lyn. Not so sure how much thought i was capable of putting forth as i have been up since 3:30A.M.. LOL! You are so correct – their is a calm in one’s life when he is lead by the Holy Spirit, trusts God in all things and, leaves the consequences to Him who loves us.
It is I who appreciates you, Lyn and your kindest of words spoken to me this night. You are a truly wondrous woman (in Christ) and I hold a great appreciation for you. You are in my prayers from now on… and may God be at your side…..
Yours in Christ;
Michael
Thank you so much..I need prayers…always. And I’ll be sure to pray for you as well. You’ve been such a blessing to me..thanks so much for all of your time and your show of Godly love. Time is short, that is for sure… someday we’ll meet in heaven… and it won’t be long if things keep going the way they are.
You are quite welcome, Lyn. It has been a pleasure to meet you and an honor to have spoken to you. You are truly wondrous and spirit filled. I look forward to meeting you in heaven one day. I find great happiness, joy and peace in the thought of us walking together amongst the clouds…. laughing together (for there will be no tears), praising God together and singing hymns of praise. smiling…… having met you – I can feel what those days will be like for through you I have felt a mere piece of Heaven this night.
Continue to be a blessing to all – for remember, Lyn, “be kind to everyone you meet, for you never know when you might be entertaining and angel.”
You are too kind. I hardly feel worthy of such kindness. Thank you
And speaking of angels, when I was a teenager, my parents and I were on our way home from Florida. We were on a patch of highway that had no stops for many miles when our tire went flat. My dad got the jack out only to realize it was broken. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a truck was backing up.. a tall man with golden hair and sunglasses stepped out, went to the back of his truck, opened up the cab and retrieved a jack. He knew what we needed! He hardly spoke to us. He said he was there to help, got down, changed the tire, and said God bless you and left. On his t shirt he wore, there were three dots like this … followed by As He Has Sent Me with a cross at the end of that. We were all curious, but none of us was, for whatever reason, able to ask. It was really weird, in a good way of course. The man was expressionless, and his hairstyle was similar to a bobby cut…no part…like a bowl cut but a tad longer… so you’re right..we never know. Go forth, Michael, and be blessed! And than you for being such an inspiration. I have been under horrible attack on another website tonight.. and your kindness was much needed. God bless you. ♪♫♪♫♪♫
It wasn’t kindness, not really – it’s just that you bring the best out in me. smiling!
Then you are aware that angels do exist here on earth, as in heaven. Your experience, with the stranger, is a prime example of what we were discussing. I have had countless experiences, throughout my lifetime, where suddenly, from nowhere, someone appeared “in a nick of time;” saving me from either harm or perile. Perhaps intervening would be a better approach. Any ways, we have, I see, both experienced this same phenominal experience. I have one story, not a story really, but an experience, of which one day i wholeheartedly want to share with you.
Why, may I ask, have you been under such horrible attacks? Glad i was some comfort in your hour of frustration….. Perhaps, this night, God brought us together. It would certainly seem so. smiling!!!!!
Glad i was here for you, Lyn.
It is a site I thought was Christian, and the person does not moderate. I was speaking the truth of God’s Word and this man, claiming to be a Christian, began being very hurtful and insulting to me. Stuff like that. And yes, thank you so much for being here for me. I would love to hear your story, when you have time, about your experience with an angel… I have a contact form if you want to email me there instead of posting it publicly. You are more than welcome to drop me a note in the email.
I am so sorry this man, whether Christian or not (most likely not), was so hurtful and insultive. I feel such sorrow for you. there is no need for someone to treat you as he has and, wishing i were more comfort to you…… I sincerely mean that. You know, as I do, we are called to refrain from “giving evil for evil.” But instead treat those who would persecute us with loving kindness; for when we do we pour hot coals over them. Nonetheless, you deserve much better. I mean that. Guessing he never realized he was “entertaining an Angel.” smiling. May be that will become your new nickname: “Angel.” smiles!
I would love sharing my experience with you…. perhaps tomorrow i can send it to you. And, yes, i would much rather write on a contact form.
Oh I get it all the time. It is because the Lord has told me to warn people time is short and to preach repentance to those who have wandered away. He has placed in me an urgency, in which there is no time to sugar coat it and tickle their ears. I just speak it straight as it is…and of course, people get mad. Satan wants people to find excuses and loopholes for their sin to keep them from repenting. People go in and pervert a passage in the Bible to make it conform to their lifestyle so that they feel okay. And then when someone comes along and rocks the boat, they become very angry, and at times, hostile. It’s sad..very sad.
Yes, when you have time tomorrow, please feel free to share your story. And, I appreciate everything kind you have said to me. God bless you for that.
You’re an angel!
I would be more than pleased in sharing it with you.
Yes, you are correct, but too, there is an issue of pride involved in many of these people and how they want to be perceived (from a christian perspective). I think sometimes there are those who prey on the weak (in spirit or knowledge of the Bible) and want to build a following. One as if they are a Messiah of sorts. Also, if they can mislead someone who is weak in spirit, they feel better about themselves. Since they too are weak in both spirit and knowledge. More over, they are miserable as sin does not fulfill or bring life more abundantly…. only God can do so. Their pride, perhaps, is likened unto the Pharisees’, Scribes and hypocrites. Pride, afterall, is what brought down Lucifer.
When you come along, pulling their facade away, exposing them as unknowledgable or misleading to others, it shakes their very fabric before those who they are out to impress….. their pride is blemished and, of course, that hurts. Their only alternative: “hurt someone back.
When you look at the fact that “tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us” then there is an immediate need for urgency……. people too, don’t want to be reminded that life, at it’s longest, is still short…. sinners fear death as it brings judgement and certain death (hell).
Well, I meant everything i have said… and, for that, you are welcome and most deservant of my kindness always. As well, my respect in all manner of thought, word and deed.
So, perhaps, state first the need for their understanding of the nature of your urgency: then point out your reasoning, thought and belief on whatever the subject. Perhaps, in some small way, it will fore warn them and soften them to your words.
Just a shared thought.
Well guess what. It was the enemy attacking me because apparently, as a result of much of the scripture posting, myself and others were doing by our obedience to the Holy Spirit, someone ended up getting saved. A woman just posted a comment to me and to someone else lifting us up and telling us that our quoting of Bible verses led someone to Jesus…the devil must’ve been angry and that is why he was coming at me! Hallelujah! That is awesome indeed! And everything you said was correct..praise the Lord for you too!
Hello, Lyn and God bless.
I have thought a great deal over your attacks and how you feel about “christians who only profess Christianity”. I have posted something of which might help you and your readers who might need a view on why these christians attack and how to deal with it. Here is a short link to the post. http://wp.me/p26QNa-194. Hoping it might give some insight.
Now go face the day (smiling).
The importancy of the Holy Spirit is innumerable. So important that Christ tells us “And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.”
Matthew 12:30-32
