I have thought about this for days, weeks now…writing about Israel. So much is going on…
I think it is apparent that we here at Vine of Life News support Israel, and that is not going to change.
Think about this for a moment if you will, making a choice to oppose Israel even in your own heart is the same as making a choice against God the Father Himself. Whoa…wait a minute here…is that not a little too strong? Actually no it is not.
Zachariah 2:8 For this is what the LORD Almighty says: “After he has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you–for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—
No other nation, no other people have been called the “apple of his eye”. Whoever sets their hand against Israel sets their hand against God’s chosen people.
How about our very salvation?
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
The Apostle Paul did not word this verse this way by accident. God wanted us to know that the Jews are His chosen people. All will receive salvation that call upon the Lord and repent of sin…but the Jewish people are still His chosen people. This also extends to the nation, the land of Israel…not just the people.
Genesis 15:18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates–
People and countries that are for dividing up Israel, which unfortunately include the U.S. are taking a stand against God Himself. These countries, these people; are as if they are walking up to God, removing the glove and slapping God across the face. This of course signifies a challenge to a duel. Anyone think that they can beat God at anything, let alone challenging His sovereign claim over Israel? Think this is too strong a statement? Think again.
Joel 3:1-2 “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.
Does this not sum it up well? “They” (the nations) divided up my (God) land. I have news for you…”they” are about to get into serious trouble; God will judge them. This would include the U.S. No one is to try dividing Israel…ever.
Yet nations, terror organizations, and many people are all for taking Israel’s land away. Actually many are for just completely wiping Israel from the face of the Earth. This comes as no surprise really. I’m reminded of this verse…
John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
Jesus was telling the disciples that the world hates Him; therefore the world will hate the disciples as well. Lets take this a little further; the world hates Jesus, so the world will hate all Believers in Him, it is happening more and more. So, the world will also and especially hate God’s chosen people Israel.
Look at World War Two, do you think WW2 was about Hitler grabbing power and ruling the world? Good guess, but wrong. WW2 was Satan’s handiwork. Don’t think so? Hitler was out to wipe the Jews of off the face of the Earth, now who do you think put that idea into Hitler’s head? WW2 was about exterminating the Jews…no Jews no end time Kingdom right? Except Satan forgot one little detail…God always wins.
Nations that align themselves against Israel are inviting severe judgment and retaliation from God.
Zechariah 12:3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.
The question is not “will Israel fall?” it will not. The question is “are you on God’s side…or the worlds side”. You cannot have it both ways you know…

It’s a great post Lyn and I thank Gomer for posting it. But without sites like yours, many may never see the post! Yea, it seems the dreams or visions or coming pretty quick. Should be interesting in the next couple of weeks…Have a wonderful day and many, many blessings to you…Robin

Your very welcome Greg and thank you for stopping by. Many, many blessings to you…Robin
You contradict yourself. The words of Jesus were meant for his disciples. The Jews rejected Jesus despite the fact that through the phrophets God had promised them a savior, his son Jesus. To the Jews who were bitterly opposed to him, Jesus said in John 8:39 “…If you are Abraham’s children, do the works of Abraham.” In Matthew 23:37-38 Jesus clearly stated to the Jews that due to their stubbornness, their house would be left desolate UNTIL they accepted Jesus as the one who had been sent by God as the Messiah. Just like when Jesus walked the earth, individual Jews who are wise enough to recognize and ACCEPT Jesus as the son of God are accepted by God and those are the ones he “brings back.” Saul, who later became Paul the apostle was one such Jew who thought he was living the life of a righteous Jew only to find out the hard way that he wasn’t, UNTIL he received Christ as God’s son as he himself testified in Galatians 1:13-23.
Hi Nya. I find no contradictions in Greg’s beautiful peice here. If you really love the Lord, and want to be knowledgeable and accurate in the things of God, you might want to be open to prayerfully re-reading God’s Word in it’s entirity. The Bible is a WHOLE LIVING BEING…not a part here, or a part there. The Old Testament and the New go hand in hand. Israel as a nation of people shall always be His firstborn no matter what anyone in this world says. He’s God. Doesn’t matter what you think, or what I think, or what anyone thinks. All that matters is what God SAYS. So, if you would really like to deepen your relationship with God and widen your horizons as a child of God, I would, if I were you (and I still do myself) go back and research the scriptures. Any of us who claims to know it all is seriously misled.
I can tell you, Biblically speaking, though I don’t know everything myself…that on this you are seriously mistaken. I hope you’ll discuss this with God and search once again in His Word. It’s possible you’ve overlooked something here. In fact, when you asked Jesus into your heart, you were adopted..and you became one with Israel. You are part of Israel now. Check this out here..it explains it well http://lynleahz.com/2012/11/03/genesis-123-we-are-one-body/ Anyhow, God bless you and have a nice day. I’m sure WritingGomer will reply back to you when he has a chance.
Nya,
Context is king when reading the Bible. Yes Jesus words were directed at the disciples, at the same time they are also meant for us. To say that these words were meant only for the disciples is a huge mistake. Using that logic and applying it to the rest of the Bible we would have to invalidate much of the Word of God. The Bible does not speak much to us but rather to people of that time that it was written in with the obvious exception of prophecy.
The latter part of your comment frankly does not make sense to me. You are correct in saying that Jews who believe in Jesus will be saved, but so will everyone else. The Jews did not accept Jesus then, and many still do not now. When the Jews time is to accept Christ is determined in part by when the full number of gentiles are come to the Lord…and only God knows that.
Romans 11:25-26
25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
Then of course the 144,000 will be Jews.
As for Abraham…all who are children of God are also children of Abraham…not just the Jews. Jesus also told the Pharisees that their father was the devil. Abraham was and is the Father of all believing people the world over including the Jews, after all God said to Abraham “I will make you the father of many nations”. (Genesis 17:5)
Paul is a different case…God had designs on him!
God bless you Nya

100% true. I couldn’t agree more.
